SHTF “Go To” Gun Winner…….

Thank you to all that submitted entries into the recent SHTF Go To Gun Contest held here. There were over 60 entries and some really great weapon systems and firearms were submitted.

Unbelievably difficult to select just one – but I had to do it.

The winner came from Jason who provided the following description and picture:

The weapon is a specially ordered, during my last deployment, Smith & Wesson M&P 15 with an Aimpoint H-1 and a Surefire X400.  I chose this weapon because it is the weapon that I am most familiar with, having served in the Army for over 20 years.  I chose to have my youngest son hold the weapon (he understands the rules of gun safety), the bible, and the American flag as they represent the things that are most important to me, and I will do everything within my power to protect them.

I choose Jason’s entry not because he sent the most exotic or expensive weapon – he did not. I choose Jason’s entry as it embodied three of the most common reasons why many of us prepare –

  1. God
  2. Country
  3. Family
Thank you Jason and be on the lookout for the Deadwood Stove to arrive in a week or so.
I want to give a special shout out to Deadwood Stove Company who without their participation this contest would not have occurred.
Take care all –

  1. I have purchased a Deadwood stove and it was money well spent, I hope to never need it but know if it is necessary to use it it will be a life saver.
