The following link will take you to the Emergency and Disaster Information Service(EDIS). This emergency information service is provided free of charge and is operated out of Hungary. The link provided goes to the North American map, however other maps are also available.


What is really cool is the ability to zoom in close to an area. As of this writing – zoom in to Dallas, TX. No doubt many of you will.

  1. You can get far better earthquake information from the USGS web site and it’s accurate, and real time. You can also set the parameters on the Richter Scale you want to be alerted about.
    Never knew there was a country called “hungry”, always thought that was what we got when we needed food…guess I’m a dolt.
