New sponsor……and a new Ruger 10/22 magazine!

I am pleased to announce that ModernSurvivalOnline has a new sponsor – HCMags.

I have to be honest – I love the Ruger 10/22. Even more – I love shooting all three of the ones I own. Having dealt with more than my fair share of unreliable high capacity aftermarket magazines – the HC3R 25+ round Ruger 10/22 magazine is a welcome addition to my shooting supplies.

I am currently testing of the HC3R 10/22 magazine and will be reporting back all the details soon. Until then – watch the video below which is excellent in explaining the unique features HCMags has incorporated into the HC3R.

By the way – HC3R stands for HC + Rapid Ruger Reload. For more information visit .

  1. I am also a big fan of the Ruger 10/22! Even though I already had a wood stock with scope, I bought the Takedown model this summer. There was enough space in the Takedown bag for several BX-25 magazines, plus room to add a few survival items. I must say that the BX-25 mags are a huge improvement over the after-market type I was using! The Butler Creek magazines jammed the rifle every few shots. Hickock-45 pointed this out on his Ruger 10/22 Takedown video as well. Additional magazines are rather expensive these days. I usually buy from MidwayUSA and only purchase when they’re on sale. In fact, you can save $3.00 on BX-25 mags until the end of December (normally $24.99 on sale for $21.99).
