I find the majority of people I talk to about ISIS in Iraq and their relentless mission to slaughter Christians and others whenever possible, well….they simply don’t care. It is disappointing and disheartening and really goes to show how far we have fallen. I do understand though peoples hard feelings with our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but we cannot go back in time and change anything. We have to deal with the here and now.
ISIS is a terrorist ARMY that has led an unprecedented successful mission of evil, destruction and recruitment. They have now threatened to come to the United States and continue there terrorist activities. Again – most people I talk to about this discount the idea and scoff at the threat.
I hope they are right.
Check out these two pictures:
Notice the “ISIS Here” sign in the upper right-hand corner above?
Above someone holding an image of the ISIS flag via cell phone in front of the White House.
Does ISIS represent a threat here in the United States? Certainly. The question is how large a threat. Right now I believe the threat is minimal – but that could change. If ISIS is allowed to continue to grow in size and strength they will become more credible – and that will allow for increased recruitment both here and abroad.
What could ISIS or any other terrorist organization do here in the states? The list is endless but here are a few ideas:
- dirty bomb (nuclear)
- attack power plants/grid
- release contagion
- taint water supply
- random acts of violence
- mass shootings
