BREAKING NEWS: Confirmed Ebola infection in New York City.

The 33 year old man is a doctor who treated Ebola patients in West Africa. He reportedly began to experience a fever and gastrointestinal  problems and sought medical attention. The doctor placed himself in quarantine once he started feeling poorly however just prior to that he had ridden the subway and gone bowling.

Concerning is that once again people are allowed in this country after possible exposures WITHOUT a quarantine. I just don’t get it.

I just received my copy of the Ebola Survival Handbook. I will write up a better review after I finish going through it. It looks very good and informative. It is a collection of articles from various sources and so far is really informative. There are also some checklists at the end that I have only taken a quick look at. Early in my reading I am shocked at some of the information provided. For less than $10 I’m glad I picked it up.

Buddy of mine has a Kel-Tec Sub 2000 in 40S&W for sale with a couple of Glock 10 rounders and 4 Korean hi-cap magazines. Price is around $500. Wish it was 9mm as I would scoff it up. The Sub 2000 is incredibly compact when folded.

I mentioned a week or so ago that I was going to experiment with making my own freeze dried Mylar meal packs. Hope to start next week or weekend.
