YouTube Video’s display trend of concern

I watch a lot of YouTube video’s and subscribe to many Channel’s. Most are survival, preparedness and weapons related. In just the past few weeks – I have seen quite an increase in video’s discussing a concern……and often a deep belief….that some bad times are coming – and soon. Economic collapse is the most common thread linking these video’s.

I am going to insert several of these video’s below – but a few things first. I am also very concerned for the economy – and fear that it may be too far gone to fully recover. With that in mind – I also feel it is entirely possible that 5 years from now we may be in the midst of a flourishing economy. Who knows? I think that is a basic part of preparedness – You just do not know what is going to happen – therefore you prepare.

Many of these video’s have a “call to action” in them. Basically – the author’s are telling people to prepare – to get ready. They also often look at the government as an evil entity – totally to blame for the state of the economy now as well as the apparent economic collapse to come. I have to agree – at least with the part of the governments involvement with the current economic plight. I am a big believer of freedom, free markets, and accountability. Government – at all levels – has done much to make opportunities for capitalism more difficult. I mean – try to open a business and there are all kinds of permits, fee’s, licenses, etc.

Through all the rhetoric, smoke and mirrors – I do see that this economy is growing very slowly – if at all. I do see that the debt that the government has created and the billions of dollars the Federal Reserve continues to print just cannot only continue – but must be reversed. If it is not – the economy will crash.

Remember – many believe that it is already too late.

i can’t bear to look.

i do little things here and there to prep, but i’m mostly overwhelmed. (and winter is coming)

the next few decades are not going to be pretty. (but i have enough to get us through today…and the next few.
that counts for something. )

Over my short life I’ve seen cycles of inflation, high interest rates, low interest rates, been through the “End Times” phase in the 70′s that ran through the church. Been in the military and enjoyed the resurgence of the USA following the Carter years. Profitted from the housing market boom, always held a job and will soon be joinning the ranks of the unemployed. After every boom and bust cycle, booms get better and the bust’s get worst. Something is going to give soon. Thankfully I started prepping 2 1/2 years ago and will be able to feed my family for about a year if I can’t find another job. But as the quote I started with says, if there is something out of the ordinary goinng on you better check it out. And something out of the ordinary is definetely going on. That’s what I think a lot of people are seeing. Things aren’t right. We may have another boom cycle, if so count your blessings and prepare as the next bust will be a doozy, if this isn’t it.

The mystery is why only about 1/3rd of voters voted and most Americans are still unaware we are circling the drain. How much money would it take to put a slick video together to explain this and then buy the time on TV shows like Dancing WithTheStars, Survivor, Great race and American Idol. That seems to be where most of the uninformed spend their time.

And with everything there is going to be that group of people who will be part of the fear mongering crowd trying to make quick cash off of this economic downturn. I recently received a email from a friend of a guy who is putting on ‘economic collapse survival classes’ in my area. Three night two hour classes for $100 per person. The guys basic message was to use google earth/mapquest walk around your neighborhood and see what your neighbors have in their yards – woodpiles, gardens, green houses, fireplaces, and when TSHTF occurs, to trade or acquire it before the looters take it. He talks about how YOU need to be the ‘king’ of the neighborhood be the person to give direction. Lots more he covered, but 90% of it came straight from a LDS prep manual and offered to ‘sell them’ for $25 each. They are free many places online.
