In the past when I’ve read forum discussions about certain types of tools, the topic of whether or not they’re American made tends to come up. A lot of people have the idea that products made in the U.S. are higher quality than the same things made in China. Do you think this is something that’s important to consider when looking into survival products?

Whenever possible I try to buy American made products. Quality of course should be considered.
I have several Smith & Wesson knives that I love – and are well made and have served me well. They are made in China. The cost for these knives were about half of something very similiar domestically made. I have difficulty justifying spending twice just to buy something American-made. My money needs to be stretched as far as it can.
Thanks – Rourke
