Video of the Week: Taurus PT-111 G2 9mm pistol review – BUDGET!

video-of-the-week

YouTube is an absolutely incredible source of information on almost anything you can think of. Every week we feature a new video related to a variety of topics such as firearms, first aid, gardening, security, food storage, water filtration….and current events.

I have heard from many people over the last couple years that Taurus is crap. Most of these reports are based on what people have “heard” or been told by friends. The reality is every gun manufacturer has quality issues – even Colt, even Glock, even Daniel Defense. I won’t even begin to say that Taurus doesn’t have issues all I can comment on is my direct experience with Taurus firearms.

Currently this offering is available from several online retailers for less than $200. Yes – less than $200.  The experience I have had with Taurus has been very positive. Lifetime warranty is good but should not be needed(that is a big SHOULD).

Check it out…..

  1. I have had a number of Taurus Firearms in the past. My first was the Taurus PT92. It was one of the smoothest actions I have ever shot. I have also had the Taurus 940, and the Taurus 1911. All of them have functioned without issue and it was nice to have the lifetime warranty. I would put their firearms up against the likes of Rock Island, Citadel, and even Remington any day of the week. Would I compare them to the likes of Kimber? Actually I would considering that some of their entry level guns I have found to have some wiggle when checking the slide to barrel fitment. I would not put them in the same class as Dan Wesson or Wilson combat though.

    Just my two cents.

  2. I worked in a gun store for a while and the only problem we Had with Taurus was getting the right firing pin for a PT 92.
