Video of the Week: How to fix a flat tire

video-of-the-week

YouTube is an absolutely incredible source of information on almost anything you can think of. Every week we feature a new video related to a variety of topics such as firearms, first aid, gardening, security, food storage, water filtration….and current events.

Simple skills are sometimes the most important to have. How many of us have had flat tires? No doubt most acknowledged multiple events. Beyond throwing a spare tire on tires can be repaired using a tire plug kit. Plugging a tire is extremely easy and very effective. A few that I have done did have very slow leaks however it is recommended after plugging to have the tire patched for a more permanent fix.

  1. Thanks Rourke for the outside the box thinking you and everyone here shares. The plug fix is one my husband brought home many many years ago…he’s a machinist so i have always thought he had”skills” 🙂 recently when in a busy season, he even went so far as to temporarily fix a flat by screwing the screw that caused the flat clear into the tire so the head was down in the tread. The head was not getting worn off that way and he monitored it till he could do the job properly. Making it work is the name of the game when you’re in a pinch…….
