The United States Constitution and Bill of Rights…..familiarize yourself

Stock Photo of the Consitution of the United States and Feather QuillThe Constitution is probably one of the most important documents that WE NEVER READ or HAVE NEVER READ. In political arguments and discussions the term “that is un-Constitutional” is thrown around a lot. I think in these troubling times where the average citizen is looking at the events that are shaping and changing this country through clouded eyes – YOUR facts via discussions could help guide them to the light.

The United State Constitution consists of only 4400 words which makes it in governmental documents the shortest Constitution of any modern government in the world. Consider that the foundation of our governmental system is a fraction the length of the modern ObamaCare document. Interesting……..

The rule of law of this country and its freedoms are foundational within the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. It is important to know THE LAW that our founders set fourth. These are the very same laws and rights that are getting trampled on today all over this country with barely a peep out of its citizens.

I get chills when I read “We the people” in the preamble and consider what these folks were doing so long ago. Amazing the courage and independence they displayed.

Throughout the Bill of Rights (first ten amendments of the Constitution) our rights regarding religion, speech, assembly, bearing arms, to be protected against unwarranted search and seizures, the powers of the States, and the right to a fair and speedy trial. There’s a lot there.

So – are you familiar with the Constitution? Are you aware of just how important these documents are?

  1. Does this version have the disclaimer STATING THAT THE INFORMATION DOES NOT REPRESENT THE VALUES AND BELIEFS OF OUR TIME ?. DOES IT STATE THAT VALUES CONCERNING RACE,GENDER,SEXUALITY, ETC., HAVE CHANGED SO THE DOCUMENTS (THE CONSTITUTION AND THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE) ARE NO LONGER RELEVANT?

If it does DON”T buy it..

  2. I never leave my dorm (Yes, liberty minded college students exist) without a pocket version of the founding documents in my bag. I was reading it on the bus one time and a lady asked me if I was studying for the Constitution test and I just smiled and said “no, just because.” I didn’t think of it at the time but I should’ve said “yes” and something along the lines of how every day is a Constitution test and most people fail

  3. I have a copy in both my primary and secondary plate carriers document pouch.
If the storm troopers are open to reason, I’ll be glad to educate them.
If they are not I’ll be glad to educate them.
    Long live the Republic, D.

  4. “Post Constitutional”, that’s the term (regrettably)I use to describe the era we live in today. The Consitution is “a living, breathing document”, this is the justification given by those who regularly feed parts of it through a paper shredder. Sorry, I don’t see much chance of it ever being re-established as the law of the land. The cats out of the bag and we’ll catch hell trying to get it back in…. it’s a damn big cat.

  5. The Constitution ‘died’ many generations ago…with the death of those who actually signed it. Only an empty shell remains which is paid lip service by those who seek wealth and power at the expense of others.

It is time to reject EVERYTHING which has supposedly been done in our name and start over. It is time to embrace a truly incredible document: The Declaration of Independence. It only needs a few minor updates (replace ‘men’ with ‘human’, strip out the references to Great Britain, etc..) and it is ready for Liberty minded people to read and sign.

Once people declare their independence, then we can have a chance at creating a new Constitution and an acceptable form of government.
