I have a question I have posed to Emergency Essentials and others but I have not recieved an answer yet. Maybe you can answer or get an answer for me as they are one of your sponsors.
The question is this; after you open one of those #10 cans of food (about a gallon of food). Do you have to cook it all or can you just put the plastic lid back on and try your best to keep it fresh somehow?

tjbbpgobIII –
From the Emergency Essentials website:
http://beprepared.com/article.asp?ai=612&name=How%20Long%20Does%20Food%20Last%20After%20It%20Has%20Been%20Opened&bhcd2=1292540495
Basic answer is it will keep up to a year if properly stored after opening.
