Testimony on the IRS targeting of Conservative groups

Thanks D. for sending this in. It still amazes and frustrates me the level of deception and corruption this current administration blatantly carries out – right in front of us. This is done right in front of us yet the vast majority of this county’s citizen are oblivious.

The IRS targeting of Conservative groups is appalling. The evidence is insurmountable that government agents treated Conservative groups differently than Progressive groups. Check out this video coming from another victim of this injustice.

  1. If you want to be truly flabbergasted, look on You Tube for the response from Dem. rep. Connelly who suggests that this is coincidence!!! There are a couple other equally stupid and water muddying responses there. D.

  2. Catherine Engelbrecht’s testimony is a beautifully spoken, heartfelt and courageous retort to the brackish, loathsome and repugnant excuses and even justifications plied by some for the government turning it’s considerable screws on it’s own citizens…. And the screws are still being turned don’tcha know. To think that the political elite on the left actually believe that unleashing the government hounds to scare, intimidate and silence their dissenters is the correct and just action in America shows us their true allegiances. And the little outrage garnered by the citizens is the most troubling of all. Now even a .gov boot to a neighbors neck can’t wake them from their dim minded sleepiness.

Of course this is just one case of many, and a now emboldened left. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo broke with tradition and actually let his true feelings be known. In an interview with PBS he stated “Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.” Some were aghast, not at what he said but that he had such a moment of honesty as to actually say it. Even as the Governor attempted to backtrack his comments the mayor of New York double downed. This from the leaders of a state where Liberty’s torch shines, where it’s plaque states “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” And where in 1984, the Statue of Liberty was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The UNESCO “Statement of Significance” describes the statue as a “masterpiece of the human spirit” that “endures as a highly potent symbol—inspiring contemplation, debate and protest of ideals such as liberty, peace, human rights, abolition of slavery, democracy and opportunity.”

Apparently only some of us hold those words to heart…

  3. I don’t think it was or is just limited to groups . I became a Republican in April after being a democrat all my life . in June I gave a $250. donation to the NRA in July I was audited by the IRS . They said I owed roughly 1500. My accountant said we could fight it and we would win and he thinks they know that we will win but it would cost me as much or more in money and time to do it so its just easier to pay them and go on .

  4. D, I think some of these politicians should have a sign on the wall that reads ” engage brain before operating mouth “, of course this only works if they have a brain to start with. Robert, I think the IRS does this knowing most will pay and not go through the hassle.
