VIDEO: Rifle Penetration Test

.....nor this.

One of my favorite Youtube channels is the Military Arms Channel. Here is a very interesting video comparing several rifle calibers with regards to penetration with what many would find surprising results:

“I take out a .308, 7.62×39, 5.45×39 and a 5.56mm rifle to see how each of these rounds fair in the woods against modestly sized trees. For those worried about the welfare of the trees, they’re getting cut down in the spring to

The Chromecast and catching up on YouTube

social-inside-youtube-icon

This past weekend I caught up on many Youtube video I have missed over the past couple months. One of the things I use to make the entire experience more enjoyable is a Chromecast. The Chomecast is a small device that plugs into the TV’s HDMI port and communicates with your computer to “broadcast” YouTube video’s directly on the TV.

Honestly – the Chromecast makes watching the video’s much better. I have a 52″ wall-mounted

11 month test – canned crackers

canning crackers, canning food, canning, food storage, survival, preparedness

My wife made some no-bean chili the other night. Stuff is fantastic but I must have saltine crackers to go with it. She said we were out……EXCEPT those ones in the jars sitting in the cabinet.

She was referring to several jars of crackers that I had canned back in November of 2013. Would they still be crisp and taste good after 9 month? My wife said I was insane for eating crackers that old.

Top doc: ‘Several people were exposed,’ more will be infected by Dallas Ebola case

video

As more information is brought froward regarding the person and their travels who has been diagnosed in Dallas, Texas it is becoming more concerning. It appears that this person visited the hospital at least once and was provided some antibiotics and sent home. Let’s hope that is where it ends but it does not look good. Time to panic? No – but as always awareness is valuable as well as preparations.
