This is an awesome idea! Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it because I’m a college student in Pennsylvania and I can’t make the time to drive down to South Carolina.
Have you thought about setting up a web cam and broadcasting it? Just a thought because I’m sure I am not the only one who wants to attend but can’t.

I have been to many conferences and most of them are long on speeches and short on useful information. Not to just put them down but just stating the facts. I read lots of blogs, lots of books, I have been prepping to some extent for 40 years or more. I love finding that new and useful idea. I have viewed almost every video on youtube that touches on the issues of surviving or prepping. I find one common string in a lot of them and that is they tease some great idea or concept and string you along until finally they make the pitch for money. Fine! If someone has something to sell I say fine! But put it in an ad. But if we are a community of people sharing good ideas why not just do it. Present the ideas, explain how they work and open the forum to comments. Having said that I’m back to wondering why a conference? Let me guess, the attendees pay to attend. I could be wrong. So what’s the story? Will you publish all the good stuff you hear at the conference or is it proprietary? Is this all about the dollar or will there be an actual dissemination of information?

Guys, looks like a wonderful opportunity to meet and put names to faces, learn things, Share thoughts, and trade items/goods. Unfortunately, I will be unable to join this time (to little, to late in awareness of the conference). I’ll be looking forward to the videos that come out of the conference and discussions on the boards for weeks and months to come. I’ll plan on making the next one. I’ll be interested in knowing which states SC is reciprocal with on CCW. I’ll do my research now.
