Rourke’s Weekly Recommendations

recommendations

Every week I throw out a few recommendations on things such as movies, books, knives, flashlights – all kinds of stuff. Some of these are not related to preparedness whatsoever – rather, just stuff I like. Most are available on Amazon but not all. I have a particular fondness for movies as one of my favorite things to do is to sit back and watch a good one.

So – for this week……here is my list:

Books (non-fiction)

Unbroken: A World War 2 Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption

Killing Lincoln

After America: Get Ready for Armageddon

Books (fiction)

  1. I’m a very avid reader of both fiction(faction)and non-fiction to include from both categories apocalyptic fiction and military non-fiction.
And as a Army vet of 24 years, Unbroken: A World War 2 Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand is one of the top 3, most inspiring books I’ve ever read in my 58 years of living.
If you haven’t read it, you owe it to yourself to do so and learn about Louie Zamporini, a true American hero. (put it on your Christmas wish list and also for any teen that may enjoy a good read or one that may be troubled…)
