Rourke’s Weekly Recommendations

recommendations

Every week I throw out a few recommendations on things such as movies, books, knives, flashlights – all kinds of stuff. Some of these are not related to preparedness whatsoever – rather, just stuff I like. Most are available on Amazon but not all. I have a particular fondness for movies as one of my favorite things to do is to sit back and watch a good one.

So – for this week……here is my list:

Books (non-fiction)

The Survival Medicine Handbook – highest recommendation

Prepper’s Natural Medicine

Where There Is No Doctor – revised edition

Emergency War Surgery

Books (fiction)

299 Days – just completed this series – highest recommendation

The Days of Noah – halfway through this book now – great!

Through Many Fires – Strengthen What Remains Part 1 – next on my reading list

Movies/TV

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 1

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 2

V: Season 1 – great TV show – human underground fights alien invaders

V: Season 2

Invasion  – One of my favorite all-time TV sci-fi series

  1. We saw the new Terminator movie yesterday. It was excellent! My Wife loved it, so much she had no problem sitting thru the credits to see the extra scene.

I never saw the complete TV series; I am adding it to my list.

  2. Invasion was an excellent Sci-Fi TV series for ots time. I have the entire collection
and watch it periodically. Hmmm? The enemy within? Equally Robert Stack in “The
Untouchables” makes for good entertainment. And now…back to YouTube History

    • Jeffmudsguide – Yeah – I was very disappointed with them cancelling. Also not happy that they did not work the end of the 2nd season into the new movie.

  3. I agree the book written by Dr. Joe and his wife is an excellent medical survival guide.I have a couple of books on natural healing also. A good library is essential for life and for prepping especially.
My two grand daughters are learning to target practice with a bow and its a youth model that is very safe. They have fun and our big round hay bales are an exc. target and arrow stopper. Arlene
