Red Dawn
I watched the old 80′s movie Red Dawn the other week – and loved it.
As a teenager I watched it when it first came out in the theater a couple of times (back when new movie tickets ran about $3.75). A few months after its initial release it started to be shown in a local $1.00 theater. I swear I must have seen it 20 times if not more. Back then the Cold War was evident – and the movie did a good job showing the threat of war (note: I did not say realistic job).
A new version is supposed to be coming out later this year and I hope it is good. My expectations are pretty high – probably too high.
If you liked Red Dawn and haven’t seen it in awhile – get some pop corn and check it out.
Rourke
PS – By the way – my favorite scene is at the beginning when TSHTF and the kids are in the store and loading up on supplies. Don’t know why – just love that scene.

Rourke to me this movie became an instant classic as soon as I saw it and it did fit the time perfectly and I look forward to the remake if they ever do release it as the Chinese are not to fond of it and have in my opinion pushed to make it go away. I do hope it does get released.

I’m with you. Love the original and hoping for the best in a remake but holding my breath. Any info on stars or director?
