A few weeks ago I asked all the readers of this blog about expanding my advertising. My concern was appearing over-commercialized. I actually put up a poll and the overwhelming majority of voters said – “Go for it!”.

So – I have added a couple of ad spots to the blog. These are located on the individual post pages. To see them – just click on the heading of any post and the page that open you will see them.

Right now 2 sponsors have taken advantage of these spots:

Directive21.com has asked me to post an ad for their WISE long-term food storage products. These WISE foods are freeze-dried with a 25 year shelf life and are very affordable. As of this writing they are offering a 56 serving package (14 Mylar packs in a sturdy plastic sealed bucket) for $109.99 with FREE SHIPPING. Not bad.
AR-15Tactical.com also has signed up for some additional advertising. They are an excellent source of tactical accessories and supplies. Check ‘em out.

I have been trying to update the Survival Downloadable Database and have been able to make a few additions. I kinda go through periods when I can get updates done as it is rather time consuming.
I removed a list that appeared on the right-side of the blog that listed every page on the blog. This list primarily listed all of the individual categorized download pages. This very same information is also available by clicking on the SURVIVAL DATABASE tab at the top of the screen. So – I removed it figuring I was wasting valuable real estate.
I added a list on the right-hand side of the blog – towards the bottom that provides the titles of the last 14 posts (approx 2 weeks). I did this as a few people have mentioned that it would make it easier for those that visit once in a while to find posts.
I added a “Newsletter Sign-Up” in the upper right-hand side of the front page. I will post separately on this — but I have decided to start a monthly newsletter. If you are a subscriber you will have to sign up for the newsletter and vice-versa.

I think that is about it. I am going to be trying to do guest posts at some other blogs as well as have some guest writers here.

Just trying to keep things interesting.
