    When one looks at the “CONTROLS” that the government has placed on us you cannot help but wonder where we would be as a country if the government control freaks had been around during the settlement and developement period! The Hamiltonians won their battle to institute total government control!

    Unhealthy my ass… That gentleman looks healthier and happier than men half his age…
    It is rather iromic that city and county goverments have to beg for money by harassing their citizens…
    He can have power, water and all the other “court enforced neccesities: with out having to pay a dime to any utility company… Its ashamed that a preppers or homesteaders group in his area hasnt stepped up to help him install solar power for his home, a solar powered well and a “septic” system… He can sell his excess energy back to his local power company..

    It’s crazy. To me – if you own the land and you shoud be a ble to do what you wish with it as long as you are not hurting someone else.

    I guess they rather have him doing the same exact thing living under one of their bridges. The real question here is who the hell turned him in? Im assuming one of the rich land barron neighbors perhaps with their nose up in the air. Somthing stinks here. Once wrong with a extended camping trip? wish I had the time for one of those. Hope He wins. Rourke if you ever find an update let us know.

    The government just does not want us to have any freedom and happiness in our lives. If we do they lose control of us and that just won’t work with their plans. Just leave the man alone. He seems happy and content with his home. I think the local government just feels that they are not getting enough money from the man.

    I think we all need to lock and load and go help protect this man and what is rightfully his! I am absolutely sick and tired of big government.

    The worst part about this story is that it is not a wing-nut State like California or Vermont, but in a typically conservative State. Indiana has often been referred to as the Mississippi of the MidWest.

    If this can happen in the Heartland, good luck if you live on one of the coasts!

    This is a violation of the mans property rights. As long as he is not infringing on another persons rights then he is well with in the law. Our founding fathers believed in property rights and the rule of law. Everyone has the right to be secure in their persons and their property from government intrusion. This was understood by our founding fathers because the King of England had control of all property under the feudal system. They wanted everyone to be afforded the opportunity to own their own land. We have not had true freedom in this country in a long time. Gov’t has violated our property rights time and time again. Look at social security and medicare, they force us to take our personal property, the money that we earn, and put it into these unsustainable programs. Why do we have to pay our respective state for a vehicle registration? This is asking them if it is ok to drive your personal property. Is your land or real estate truly yours once it is free and clear from your mortgage or loan? You might think you own the land but don’t pay your property taxes and see what happens. The gov’t has control of every aspect of property rights in this country and they tell us what to do with our property. This is control not freedom. We are all surfs not free men. This is tyranny not liberty.
