Project Preparedness: Weeks 14 & 15 & 16
Again – I have gotten a little behind. Here is my Project Preparedness catch up post.
Week 14:
2—aluminum foil, bxs
1—Ziploc bags, bx
$5.00 Cash
***Aluminum foil would be great to have for cooking/heating food. A box of 50-100 sandwich bags with the Ziploc top would be very useful for numerous reasons such as storing food, dividing supplies, or waterproofing documents.
Week 15:
1—Flashlight
1—extra batteries
3—Spring water, gallons
***You can never have too many flashlights and extra batteries. Same goes for water – you must maintain enough water for everyone in your group to last for ? days, weeks, etc.
Week 16:
1—Saltine crackers, bx
1—Peanuts, can
1—Ramen noodles, bx
***More misc food to provide variety. Eating the same thing over and over will lower morale.
Remember – you can click here to access a printable list along with a summary page of all the weeks combined.
Thanks all -
Rourke

Rourke, a food item that I have added for reason of variety and sheer nutritional value is sardines. Those little fish pack a big punch in the nutrition department and their shelf life can’t be beat. Plus, they make those saltine crackers on your list a heck of a lot more interesting come meal time.
I enjoy your blog very much, keep up the good work!
