Project: Preparedness Week 12 & 13
Here is the update for PROJECT: PREPAREDNESS Weeks 12 & 13.
Week 12:
1—Notebook
1—Pen/pencils
1—Insect Repellent
2—Rain Poncho’s
Week 13:
2—Fruit, cans
3—Hormel Compleats Meals
Week 12 is a misc. supplies week. The 2 rain poncho’s can be purchased at Wal-Mart for around $1.00 each. These should be considered disposable – but very useful if you are stuck outside in the rain. Insect repellent is a MUST when the bugs are just driving you crazy – buzzing in your ears. An emergency situation will be bad enough – you don’t need the added stress of bugs all over you.
Week 13 upgrades your food content. The Hormel Compleats meals are a great item. Similar to canned – the Compleats are in a plastic tub-type packaging with an expiration date of around 2 years. Many great selections are available from turkey with dressing, chicken breast with mashed potatoes, to spaghetti. These are fully cooked and ready to eat.
Take care all -

Hormel does have some good meals out there for sure..a little salty, but I guess thats to help preserve them..I used to eat them several times a week until the price went up from the 2 bucks to 2.70 (depending on the store)before I retired from a machine shop I worked at, I ate Hormel soups form vending machines there..the little cans of potatoes au grautin were my favorite….dont know where to get them anymore
