   Before finding your site tonight, I had actually had occasion to visit the USGS site where the experts there posit that the dying bird phenomenon was caused by loud noises (fireworks?) around the holidays that caused the alarmed birds to take flight in the night and fly into solid objects and die from their injuries, as many suffered internal bleeding.

   I dunno, I guess it’s possible??
