NY Democrat: Please Don’t Release That Document…..

NY Democrat: Please Don’t Release That Document Showing We Actually Do Want to Confiscate Guns (Video)

This article can be seen in its original form at http://www.menrec.com/2013/01/democrat-releasing-that-document.html.

- Rourke

Late last night, New York Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin, one of the few Republicans with a strong enough spine to stand up to thepistol new gun legislation, released the following statement on his Facebook page.

Here it is. This is the video where I was asked to keep the Democrat proposals for the NY SAFE Act away from the public. This list was given to me by a colleague and it is not confidential.

This bill was an attack on the 2nd amendment and the Democrats clearly wanted to dismantle the work of the Founding Fathers. None of these amendments were included in the final bill thanks to us fighting back. I will not stand silent while these unpatriotic proposals are pathetically thrown at us a 11 o’clock at night:

In the video clip (seen below), McLaughlin is prepared to discuss a list of original proposals from the Democrats regarding gun control.  The list, much in the same vein that Governor Cuomo himself had discussed, actually proposed the confiscation of guns and clips

This is essentially a Democrat wish list for trampling the Second Amendment.  Here is the video…

http://youtu.be/ryUbJfg4tAo

In the video, McLaughlin is speaking to Democrat Assemblyman Joseph Lentol.  Here is the transcript:

McLaughlin:  … Something that we received from the Senate, Democrat proposals in this gun bill.  And I don’t know if you’ve seen this, or if you know that these are there or not.

Lentol:  Well we don’t have our own list of rejected proposals, that the Senate rejected, so I don’t have anything to show you.

McLaughlin:  Okay. Alright, then I won’t address it then if you haven’t seen it.  I’ll leave that one alone.  Okay, thank you, Joe.  Appreciate it.

Lentol:  And by the way, I would recommend not to have that list shared because it has the capacity to dampen the enthusiasm of compromise.

McLaughlin:  Well, it sure does when we talk about the confiscation of assault weapons.  It absolutely has the ability to dampen a compromise.

The list of proposals that Democrats would rather you didn’t see, can be seen below.

1. Confiscation of “assault weapons”
2. Confiscation of ten round clips
3. Statewide database for ALL Guns
4. Continue to allow pistol permit holder’s information to be released to the public
5. Label semiautomatic shotguns with more than 5 rounds or pistol grips as “assault weapons”
6. Limit the number of rounds in a magazine to 5 and confiscation and forfeiture of banned magazines
7. Limit possession to no more than two (2) magazines
8. Limit purchase of guns to one gun per person per month
9. Require re-licensing of all pistol permit owners
10. Require renewal of all pistol permits every five years
11. State issued pistol permits
12. Micro-stamping of all guns in New York State
13. Require licensing of all gun ammo dealers
14. Mandatory locking of guns at home
15. Fee for licensing, registering weapons

Governor Cuomo would like you to believe that only right-wing ‘extremists’ think that they are coming for your guns.  But it’s actually the Second Amendment-trampling Democrat extremists who really do want to take them that are the problem.

Liberals; creating a thieves paradise, one gun-free zone at a time.

What people need to understand is, these disarmament ideas are not restricted to just the state of New York. This is a nation wide concept, banning assault rifles and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds (rifle, 7 rounds in pistols). Registration of firearms is the first step to confiscation! With great remorse, I predict there will be more tragedies until the gun-grabbers convince the ignorant that the citizens need to be disarmed. I have been beating this drum since JAN 09 “Big Brother is coming for your guns”! One step at a time, the Socialists will erode our liberties. Once our 2ND Amendment rights are gone, we will lose the rest.

The last 100 years have shown a clear example. Registration. Confiscation. Extermination. Attempted confiscation of my personal property will be dealt with appropriately.

  • We recently purchased our family retreat that we’ll use in case SHTF. However, I am seriously questioning if we shouldn’t have put it to buying property outside the US. It isn’t looking promising that we’ll want to stay much longer if proposals such as those described here gain traction. It’s awful watching our nation be destroyed from the inside…

I am a AK-47 owner and worried they will come and take it away. I am a mental health patient from the Veteran Affairs. I have been a proud gun owner who used to for target practice and protect. I invested a lot of money into the rifle and ammo. Should I sell my gun before there is a confiscation and forfeiture of my gun? Many exmilitary veterans are proud gun owners and have every right to own one as long as it’s registered. Love to hear your feedback. Thank you.

  • I agree these steps are the first steps to confiscating all our guns. Liberals are doing it one step at a time. Slow but sure they hope to burn the 2nd ammendment all together. welcome to socialism America. This ol’ boy aint giving up nothing. Try to take whats mine and it could get ugly real fast.

    Hello All,

This is what I was referring to in the posting from a couple of days ago about opsec/infosec. There is a systematic attack on the 2nd ammendment and our right to keep and bear arms……be wary about what you post, where you post it and how you say it. MSO is a wonderful site to share information and ideas…..that is how patriots are created to begin with and sustained over time. However, discretion should be used in all things…….Specifically to Irish-8, in a general sense be careful who you provide this particular information to and specifically to sell the items in fear of a coming event is capitulating or throwing in the towel before the fight is well and truly joined…..no vet does that!! Be proud of who you are and prepare accordingly!!

  • Irish-8

Granite, do I sit back and watch them take it away? Will they compensate me for my purchase? I am only trying to think logically and get my money back if TSHTF.

  • Rourke

    Irish-8,

Thank you for your service first off.

Second – don’t sell anything! Don’t give in to the fear.

    Irish-8,

Never sell into the fear. Stand up for what is right…..

    Rourke,
Not sure if you have seen this, but seeing this post today….thought this was soooo appropriate when I seen it…

Irish-8, speaking frankly, we’re all targets. You simply are the next target (mental health patient (and there’s nothing wrong with that)). Unfortunately, when they come to the point of “voluntary” confiscation, they will offer such a pittance, that it won’t be worth it. Los Angeles is running a buyback scheme right now… $50 for unworking guns or parts of guns, $100 for working guns, and $200 for their definition of assault weapons. $100? $200??? And you don’t have to turn them in… it’ll be the same pricing later, and we’ll all be taken for a ride. Those buybacks are winding up with a wide range of junk on one end, and outstanding museum level pieces on the other end… all for the price of a night out.

To those who think I’m willing to give up my freedoms for a night at the movies… Molon Labe.

  • John Gault

@Irish-8, if I might share my own thoughts….. and they are truly mine and many may strongly disagree. National gun confiscation will likely never happen -at least in our lifetime. There is not enough will for it, the gun grabbers resolve is weaker than they would ever admit and the resistance to it is stronger and more wide spread. We could imagine the groundswell of protests against such a move….the reaction to it’s passage….. well…. all bets are off. The first few bloody encounters would set the tone, and the news footage…… jack booted feds, clad in black and bulletproof garb carrying out military style assaults against families hunkered down in their suburban homesteads….. the violence, the over whelming force…. the videos of family members bodies heading to the morgue ……. no, no will for any of THIS…… and THIS would start a new civil war and the “grabbers know they would be on the losing side…. and the losing side would lose very badly.

Incrementalism is the gun grabbers plan, and one we need to fight relentlessly…… and we are….. NY’s new infringements, passed in the wee hours, against their own ~3 day rule~ will work it’s way thru the courts but in the end the people in each state must defend their own rights, but the statistics of banning guns are on our side…. overwhelmingly so. Keep your AK, keep it clean and oiled, keep it sighted in, stock some ammo, and keep your wits about you….. and know that you are not alone…. in fact I think it’s going to get a bit crowded.

We need to challenge politicians who vote for any gun control. Push for impeachment, recall, and expose any past bad deeds and crimes they committed. A full attack on them, go to their public meetings and speak up. Video them and their supporters to catch them saying or doing something wrong. Be polite and make no threats including threatening to go after them politically. They will turn your words around and use them against you. So don’t threat to go after them politically just do it. But in public discourse attack them on their failure to support our civil rights and the constitution. Remember the good news is they took their masks off and showed us who they are, now it is our turn to use this information and remove them from public office.

  • John

I don’t intend to register or surrender anything I own. This is the same thing California did years ago, just register your so called assault weapon, we are not going to confiscate it which is what they eventually did, owners were told to surrender them or the police would be knocking on your door.

  • Irish-8

I am going to man up and join NRA and fight for the 2nd Amendment. I refuse to give any of my guns up.
