Like Westerns? Check this out…….

True Story Of Kill Or Be Killed In The Real Old West If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to strap on a six-gun in the real Old West and have a face-off-in-the-street gunfight where only the fastest gunslinger walks away – – then this recently discovered memoir by one of the Old West’s most feared (but virtually unknown today) gunfighter’s and lawmen puts you behind a pair of Colt .45 six-guns and immerses you in what it was like to live and die in the real Wild West.

But, you won’t find this fascinating story in any of today’s western history encyclopedias or glorified in the movies or on TV. But, you will find it at: www.OldWestLawmansForgottenMemoir.com

I love old westerns and am in the process of getting together all of Clint Eastwood’s old westerns in DVD. If you like westerns like I do – you should check out this one-of-a-kind book with great details from the old west.

  1. I own a few Westerns: John Wayne’s “The Shootist”, Clint Eastwood’s “2 Mules For Sister Sarah” and my all time favorite cowboy movie “High Plains Drifter”.

  2. don’t forget “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”, Pale Rider, or Once Upon a Time in the West. . . . or Open Range. . .

  3. Any mention of westerns for ANY reason REQUIRES “LONESOME DOVE” absolutely without any equivocation at the TOP. Best western movie ever made and that title will NEVER be broken. Thats period.

  4. By the way let me mention ROBERT DUVALL has made a new western set in rather modern times in old MEXICO, will be released this summer!

  5. I also like High Noon with Gable and Kelly. I think it was Grace Kelly’s first screen appearance. The accompanying musical score by Tex Ritter helps make this move a classic.

  6. Lonesome Dove was great. Very well cast for the most part. The book is among my favorites that I enjoy reading again and again.

True Grit is a another GREAT book and the most recent 2010 movie is quite good too. Dare I say better than the Duke’s version mainly due to better casting and portrayal of Maddie. LeBeouf was poorly cast in both movies but Matt Damon did a better job than Glen Campbell.

Little Big Man deserves a mention as another GREAT book that was made into a very good movie.

  7. One Western movie that does not get mentioned often is BARBAROSA (1982), starring Gary Busey, Willie Nelson and Gilbert Roland (I think it was his last movie). Set along the Texas southern border, its a good one worth catching.
