    Good video on fire starters. I checked out some of their other videos as well. Also good. It was interesting to hear her comments on a couple of items I already own. No disagreements here.

    I really like SoochOO’s YouTube videos as well. Very detailed and he’s quite a character!

    i agree, good video. make sure the striker stays securely with the firesteel. lots of people carry stainless steel knives these days, so your pocket knife blade may not work as a backup striker. this also applies to those magnesium block firestarters. a stainless blade will not make sparks with the flint. try to include at least one carbon steel blade among your preps. the traditional material for catching the spark was “char cloth” although dry cotton balls may work.
