Jericho – the TV Show
Jericho was a TV show that was on for 2 seasons a couple years ago. It was very popular and had a loyal following – especially among “preppers”. Unfortunately the show was cancelled after a short 2nd season.
Why did the show catch on so well with those preparedness mined folks? For starters - the story line: After a nuclear disaster occurs caused by several terrorist attacks that destroyed 20+ American cites, residents of the small Kansas town of Jericho must come to terms with a new and very different reality as they wonder if they are the only ones left alive. The series tells a fantastic story with wonderful characters of dealing with the unknown and challenges of life without the modern conveniences that many take for granted today.
I found the series to be overall very realistic and a plausible story of what could actually happen in the event that there was a similar type terrorist attack.
What I really appreciated was the stories of the characters as well as the town and how they dealt with limited food, fuel, medical supplies, communication, etc. Sound familiar? Those are common concerns for survivalists in a TSHTF scenario.
The entire show is available on DVD. I highly recommend you pick it up.
You can also download the entire first episode via my Movies/TV Show free download page. It is viewable on any PC.
Take care all -
Rourke
