ISIS is here…..

I find the majority of people I talk to about ISIS in Iraq and their relentless mission to slaughter Christians and others whenever possible, well….they simply don’t care. It is disappointing and disheartening and really goes to show how far we have fallen. I do understand though peoples hard feelings with our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but we cannot go back in time and change anything. We have to deal with the here and now.

ISIS is a terrorist ARMY that has led an unprecedented successful mission of evil, destruction and recruitment. They have now threatened to come to the United States and continue there terrorist activities. Again – most people I talk to about this discount the idea and scoff at the threat.

I hope they are right.

Notice the “ISIS Here” sign in the upper right-hand corner above?

Does ISIS represent a threat here in the United States? Certainly. The question is how large a threat. Right now I believe the threat is minimal – but that could change. If ISIS is allowed to continue to grow in size and strength they will become more credible – and that will allow for increased recruitment both here and abroad.

What could ISIS or any other terrorist organization do here in the states? The list is endless but here are a few ideas:

  • dirty bomb (nuclear)
  • attack power plants/grid
  • release contagion
  • taint water supply
  • random acts of violence
  • mass shootings
  • assassinations

Thoughts?

  1. ISIS/ISIL posses a far greater threat than any terrorist group we have ever faced.. EVER.. Unfortunately, people’s ability to disconnect from anything not poking them in the eye appears limitless. They may find that their regrets are as equally endless.

  2. I live 45 min. South of the largest concentration of Islamic faithful in the United States. All Factions are alive and well on the outskirts of Detriot. Nearly every Muslim soul is a peaceful one… however… I am still waiting for their ‘leadership’ to come out and denounce what ‘their’ minority is doing…. waiting… waiting…

We allowed a couple of dozen fellas into this country years back. They were armed with plane tickets and box cutters and knocked off around 3 thousand of ‘us’. As for myself…. I hear and prepare. As for the ‘masses’ they will need to get the hammer in the side of their heads or the blade under their chins before anything ‘feels’ like a threat to their evenings out at Chili’s……….. Why is it that Americans have to have their ass..es kicked before we figure out who it is that means us harm?

No doubt we need to wake up – I fear we will one day and it will be like many of the scenarios we read in the fiction books and we will pay the price! We’ve dumbed down, believing everything okay and that the government is here and they are here to help us!!! The article link above backs up the threat you speak of. Keep Looking UP, that’s where our help comes from.

  4. Think of the number of morons who were stupid enough to vote for the Muslim impostor. That is a huge pool of idiots that the terrorists can recruit from.

  5. We don’t have to look very far back in the calendar to see the terrorist Islamist attacks in Mumbai or the Nairobi Mall to see the blueprints for violent attacks on civilian targets in America. They could restage those events here easy-peasy… Just a matter of time IMO.

  6. The Holy Bible actually tells us what is to happen to this country. Oh, I forgot for a moment, most people do not read that, and so many want it deleted from this country entirely. Well in the end, that will be their loss.
Reading some of the other notes on this page reminded me of a saying I created years ago: “Hey the game is on TV and I got a fresh beer in my hand, so go away and leave me alone”.
Another one I like is for all those self proclaimed atheists. They do not believe in God, but they will one day. For most it will be with in seconds of their death.

  7. Everybody has to remember that ISIS like most other jihad group was either created, trained or funded by the good ole` USA and our Muslim president is onboard with that

  8. “The facts show that important linkages have been made between foreign groups and American gangs: Islamic terrorist groups and the El Rukns, the Yakuza and the Latin Kings, and a Mexican drug lord and the 30th Street Gang in San Diego. It would seem gangs may be expected to figure prominently in such future scenarios unless our society confronts this problem most forthrightly.”

GANGS, GUERILLA WARFARE, AND SOCIAL CONFLICT(1):

The Potential Terrorism Threat From Gangs in America

    by

    George W. Knox, Ph.D.

This is an excerpt from a lengthy paper available at http://www.ngcrc.com.

Remember the Rodney King riots in LA in 1992? I was in the town of Oxnard about 60 miles north. I had to stand in line at the local gun store to buy ammo for my pistol. People from LA were in line with me and told me there was no ammo left to buy in LA.

Now, to the meat of my comment. After the riot, there were numerous interviews of LAPD officials. If I remember correctly, the chief of LAPD, Daryl Gates, was thus quoted when asked what he saw in the riots: he stated that there were something like 285,000 gang members in the LA basin. They, like other gangs across the US, were loosely organized. However, they did have the guns, the money and the desire to be more than they were. They did talk with each other. What they lacked was a cohesive leadership to bring the gangs together. If this were to happen, you would see guerilla warfare in this country.

And now enters ISIS sleepers. If they link up with the gangs already in this country and the narco gangs from Latin America, we could be in for the same blood bath currently seen in Mexico, except on a much larger and destructive scale. Considering both the northern and especially the southern borders are sieves, you can easily see how this country can be infiltrated.

Our government is charged with the protection of the homeland. They have done and continue to do a pitiful job. I foresee the reemergence by necessity of state militias.

Bottom line, I see no good thing coming our way. Prepare for the worse, pray for the best.

  9. Hard to know what kind of reach they really have;Al Quaeda is much wealthier and has many more members, though factional, and they haven’t hit the U.S. since 2001. What I wonder about is does ISIS want to do some symbolic stuff here just to to piss us off or do nation-destroying acts like bringing down the grid which, as we all know, could be done by high schoolers.

  10. It looks like some of you have split personality. On one hand we believe in bad things to happen or arrive to us. Mumbai style terrorist attacks. 285 000 gang members in LA basin. When was the last time that you have seen a hard core gang member, their weaponry and custom made armoured cars?
On other hand you are so against police militarization. Who is going to respond to a Mumbai style attack? Us? No, police.
We know who our enemy is. I don’t thing police will go against the public when it comes to big, big events.
I had it on my chest for a long time. I had to get it out.

    • Vlad –

You have a very valid point. What is the truth? Probably somewhere in between. I do believe that the militarization of law enforcement as well as the posture of their attitudes, demeanor, and procedures is heading in the wrong direction. Regardless – there are thousands and thousands of fantastic law enforcement out there and they keep us safe. They are hero’s with a reputation stained by a select few(maybe more than a few).

Additionally things are getting dangerous. Who knows what is crossing our boarders and entering our towns and communities? Who knows the recruiting being done with radical Islam in our towns and communities? Regardless – law enforcement is our best chance to be protected.

So – yes – law enforcement is being overly militarized AND we have threats infiltrating our homeland.

      Rourke

  11. Vlad, in the eyes of way to many law enforcement, WE are the enemy. The very streets and neighborhoods in which we live our lives are considered the “war zone” by the police. The law enforcement officer is taught to suspect everyone and to never letdown their guard. We know for fact that those charged with protecting use can and often do suffer from the very same character flaws and psychological misfortunes that plague so many in the group from which they come… us.

A video recently surfaced of a St. Louis County police officer, who was seen pushing a CNN anchor during protests in Ferguson. In the video officer Dan Page said “I personally believe in Jesus Christ as my lord and savior, but I’m also a killer, I’ve killed a lot. And if I need to, I’ll kill a whole bunch more. If you don’t want to get killed, don’t show up in front of me. I have no problems with it. God did not raise me to be a coward. I’m into diversity — I kill everybody. I don’t care.” This is not the person we should be outfitting in military gear and putting on any street to protect us. I don’t want this person answering the phone if I should ever call for help.

If there are areas in this country that require a militarized police force to maintain control then those areas have far greater problems than any police force can solve, no matter how overly equipped they may be.

  12. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. – Revelation 20:4

    Beheaded…hmmmm…beheaded…
Now what barbarian group is it that gets their jollies from beheading again?

  13. TinLicker, I believe your interpretation is wrong. I’m sure there are others who could explain this with far more passion and authority, but I’ll give it a shot. The above Revelation references those who were beheaded because of their faith and beheaded by the Roman Empire.

  14. Are there any organized non-governmental groups that you are aware of watching Muslim sites in the U.S. for unusual activity?

  15. Harry, a Facebook friend of mine tried to keep an eye on one of these Islamaberg sites outside of Hancock, NY. The feds ran him out. My buddy says that bus loads of Moslems come into the 80 acre site and that there are over 10,000 living there now. Helicopters fly in and out at all hours of the day and night. Also, GUN FIRE can be heard within the compound.
