From the Desk of John Rourke – November 25th, 2015

A lot of special sales going on right now. Some of them offer a great way to save not only on electronics, clothes, etc. but also on preparedness-related products. I just received an email that Earth Easy has their LifeStraw line of products on sale for 2 days only 25% off. Use promo code “READY25” and get a LifeStraw for only $14.96.

Another day another series of disturbing things being reported in the headlines. The shooting in Chicago will no doubt hurt race relations as the media celebrate having something which raises ratings. Nevermind the countless others that are shot and killed every week in that city. Nope – no protests and no outrage as criminals commit crimes. The officer in this shooting will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Somehow the protestors and other “victims” of this crime will demand more – whatever that is.

Things continue to heat up in Syria. ISIS keeps murdering and now Turkey has shot down both a jet and a rescue helicopter. I can’t help but think that right now those responsible are thinking to themselves…..”What the hell did we just do?”

My Winchester Model 70 .270 shot well but seriously needs a trigger job. I swear it must be pulling at 6 pounds. Love the scope.

Here is a thought – if those in favor of gun control had their way this is what you would be left with to protect yourself:

  1. I Hate to disagree with you Rourke, but that bat has two features that could be considered tactical, and you can only have a flashlight that only holds 1 CR123 Battery in its “CLIP”, not to mention the vertical fore grip would have to be permanently configured to not be able to store extra CR123 rounds as that could be defined as a high capacity grip. The last concern would be the overall length of the bat, and the length from where you grip it to the end of the bat. If it is too short, then it would have to be registered as a SBB (Short Barrel Bat).

I know that Certain ‘Boomberging’, yet ‘Fein’ gun grabbers would be proud of my ability to identify each and every ABSURD detail here, but their ability to steal rights from American Citizens makes me sick. Now I must go wash the ABSURDITY out of my eyes 🙂

  2. Definitely a good price on the LifeStraws! I never paid less than 20 bucks for them. I have them loaded in multiple “Get Home Bags” and at cached locations. Today’s Cabela’s flyer advertised Remington 870 .12 GA for $240 and Smith & Wesson M&P 5.56mm carbines for $600! I am not sure if that is just our local store or a national sale, though. The potential for rioting in Chicago is reminiscent of Ferguson and Baltimore. I blame the LIBERAL media for inflaming racial tensions. There was a crime statistics chart that circled Facebook the other day that listed blacks killed: 1% by police (all gender law enforcement), 2% by whites and 97% by other blacks. Of course, the Left highlights the least most likely cause of death. I am NOT real optimistic about the situation in the Middle East. Although Russia has been an antagonist in countless locations across the globe, I trust Putin to destroy ISIS MORE than Obama! Putin may be a KGB bully and scoundrel, but he is sincere about confronting Islamic Fundamentalism. Obviously, Obama is NOT!
