From the Desk of John Rourke – July 21st, 2015

Wanted to remind everyone that I will be AFK from August 1st through August 8th. Access to Internet and doing anything with email and MSO will likely be non-existent. I have repaired the issue with posts not going live as scheduled and having to be manually published. With that said there will be posts going live that week.

The 2016 Presidential Elections are 18 months away and the GOP looks like a barrel full of monkeys trying to hump a doorknob. I do feel there are some excellent choices but they are diluted with numerous “same ole crap” candidates.

It’s going to be interesting but in the end I still believe Hillary will win it all. Terrible.

Anyone have an experience going on a Royal Caribbean cruise to Cococay and Nassau?  Curious what your opinion is of the ship experience as well as on the islands.

Started doing a camo paint job on one of my AR’s (see Part 1: AR Budget Build) . I know – paint is not durable. That is fine and understood. It can be done over and over again and if necessary can always strip it off.

  1. We did a Med Cruise on Royal (my first cruise on anything larger than a 90ft. patrol boat) and it was excellent! If you’re a drinker, be careful, since you don’t pay for any amenities until you depart, and booze adds up quickly, (I had a glass of wine with dinner every night and we had a beach drink or two while hanging at the pool along with numerous Cokes and we still owed around $175 upon departing, just FYI) also have at least $100+ cash for your tips at the end too. (waiter, cabin boy/girl, bartender, etc)

  2. More of a request than a comment – Any chance of you posting a picture of the AR pistol you spoke of the other day? I’m curious to see what that would look like.
