From the Desk of John Rourke – December 8th, 2014

Voters sent another message that they are tired of the Liberal Agenda and the Obama Administration by ousting Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana. Now – what will the newly elected Republican-controlled Congress do with this new majority power? I wish I could be more hopeful. It would be great to see ObamaCare get overhauled, immigration taken care of by getting a wall built to secure the border – and government made smaller. Yup – that would be nice.

Never been a big fan of the iPhone or iPad. I have so much going on looking to try to get better organized. Pad and paper work good but thinking of getting a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7″ tablet. Anyone have any experience with the Samsung. If my budget allows I hope to get one in the next couple of weeks. Oh – if anyone is feeling generous and wants to pick one up for me just follow this link.  🙂

Looking over my preps I think Cordage along with tools are probably the areas I need the most improvement. Cordage in particular in not very expensive – just need to put back a variety of string, twine, cord, and rope.

    • Depends on the candidate Eric.As a whole the Republican Party has failed the American people for years. There are individuals within that party that do great work and- if allowed – would make great strides in getting this country back on track.

  1. Rourke,

In regards to the Samsung Tablets, I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1″ and my son has the Galaxy Tab 3 7″. We both have found them to be a solid, reliable, and durable product. We love the freedom of the Android OS and plan to stick with Samsung when we upgrade. I am sure ours will find their way into a .50 cal faraday cage with numerous references, novels, and movies loaded on them “just in case”. I am also sure they will still work just fine if we need to get them out.

    Good Luck.

    • Thanks Brad M – I have a Nokia “Surface” tablet that works ok but it is a little big and apps are few. I am going to go for the Samsung Tab 4 7:.
