From the Desk of John Rourke – December 16th, 2015

Capt.Michaels sent in a couple of links that are very interesting and another reason to keep doing what we are doing.

First – Obama is calling on Governors to use their executive action powers to instill higher levels of gun control. This is another way of bypassing Congress to move the anti-gun agenda forward.

Second – another article reports that a Texas sheriff “warns President Barack Obama in a social media video that trying to disarm Americans would “cause a revolution in this country” is the latest law enforcement official to urge citizens to arm themselves in the wake of mass shootings.”

I agree.

There is no doubt that the Progressive Left wishes to disarm citizens. With all the mass shootings and uproar from the mainstream media little has been done to further the gun control agenda. It is easy to get caught up in political talk and succumb to political fear-mongering. As preppers we prepare. Just the chance of restrictions on gun purchases, ownership, and unavailability of ammunition has us running out and buying more. I am no different whatsoever. With the good chance of anti-gun Hillary Clinton getting into office I continue to stock up on everything.

I am an avid supporter of military and law enforcement. It is frustrating to see uproar when some – not all – but some of these police shootings occur and the public freaks out. Many of the public just can’t seem to understand these situations. When you have a guy walking around shooting a gun in the air – and he is confronted by police and told to drop the gun and doesn’t bad things are going to happen. “But wait those damn white police shot that poor man in the back!!!” – well, that man was walking towards innocent women and children with a loaded handgun. If the police let him go and that “poor” man shot and killed innocent people the public would call for the castration of those officers exclaiming they should have done something.

As I type this the CNN Republican debate is just finishing up. I have to say I am pretty happy to see very qualified candidates on the stage. No – I do not like all of them and I have my favorites. I will tell you this – I would take any of them over Hillary Clinton. Period.

This CNN panel is ridiculous.

I am hoping to go see Star Wars this weekend. The original was one of the first movies I ever saw in a theater.

There is still plenty of time to order Christmas presents from Amazon and get them in time for Christmas.

Week is half over. Let’s go out there and finish strong!

  1. No matter who is elected there will be some disappointing behavior from that person. However, not as much as if Hillary were to be elected~ IMHO she will be our own “homegrown Hitler”!!

  2. This next year will be exciting to say the least. The Dems will push like hell, might even claim martial law over another attack or “mass shooting’. Our allies overseas can’t count on us and I see a major Muslim uprising in Europe happening in the spring. China getting aggressive, Russian bear growling like hell, Iran a loose cannon, and we do nothing but gut the military and let in more illegals and Muslims. We really are going to hell in a hand basket!

  3. 2 polls released in the last couple of days show that for the 1st time in a decade a majority does not support an assault weapons ban! Can there really be that much common sense out in the hinterlands?

On the way home from work yesterday I listened to Salem radios pre-debate coverage. Amoung the mix of opinionators was a center left female who stated that though not a gun expert, the little bit of research she had done had informed her that having a gun in the home actually made you less safe. That you were far more likely to kill yourself rather than protect yourself. I covered this obviously ridiculous propaganda in that gun control piece I wrote awhile back. Guess she didn’t read it.

To be honest, I’ve lost faith in us. The record is pretty clear we don’t know what we’re doing when we vote. Hoping that we will experience some sort of awakening, realize our errors and suddenly start electing good people seems doubtful. I don’t think we have it in us anymore. We’re not going to save ourselves…….

  4. Apparently students at Yale overwhelmingly believe that the first amendment should be repealed.

    The future looks interesting..

  5. Ted Cruz is steadily moving forward. He has never changed his stance or let politics change him. Look up his record and see if anyone can stand the litmus test compared to him. 😉

  6. And the sheeple loudly cry, ‘protect me, protect me, feed me, feed me.’

Remember the stanza of our national anthem:

“O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?”

With all the bleating sheeple now days, the brave must have either died or moved elsewhere, I suppose where they can be free. There can be no doubt that big government anywhere wants a dependent citizenry. This generation of cowardly sheeple disgusts me.

I’m not a big Trump fan but listening to the other professional Republican candidates bleat about why what ever ideas he throws out are impossible or cannot work is becoming tiresome. Never before has the difference between the professional politician and a sincere candidate been so obvious. Their souls have been purchased and those ‘professional politicians’ are clearly shown to be but slaves of their keepers.

Shame on you, Rubio, Cruze, Rand, et al. For shame, for shame. Worse, shame on us for electing such tripe to any public office. Bought their souls are, spindled, bought, and mutilated, I say.

  7. John G take heart. We just might win this election and turn this country around.I am hoping and praying.
Everyone- a huge( 5,000) First responder event is being planned for the NE for the summer. for 5 days. This is to train for a massive crises.Interesting….details when I know them .
Disney world and land are now employing metal detectors along with bag searched etc.A good idea but so sad that it must be done.
Please say prayers for our little grand daughter who is 5 and had to be hospitalized with a high fever and finally had her appendix removed. She still has a fever and had to go back to the ER today. I was taking care of our other grand daughter and the house and the dog etc. so I havent been able to log on lately. This was a good example of why we must be prepared to go at a moments notice. I learned where I must tweek the supplies I carry.
Have a Blessed and safe Christmas everyone. Arlene
