Downloading YouTube video’s
There are tons of great YouTube video’s. The bad thing is unless you have an active Internet connection – you cannot watch them. Well – that used to be true. I discovered a totally free software program that does a fantastic job of downloading any YouTube video you wish – and then converts it to whatever video format you want.
It is called Final Video Downloader.
Downloading YouTube video’s is extremely easy. Here is how you do it:
- Open the Final Video Downloader software on your PC.
- Go to the YouTube video of your choice.
- Click the “Share” – a link will be shown
- Highlight the link and go to “Edit” – click on “Copy”
- Go to Final Video Downloader – click on “Add video link”
- A window will open that already has the link you just copied from YouTube
- Now – just click “OK” and the video will begin downloading and converting to whatever video format you have chosen
- If you wish to do multiple videos at one time – just go back to Step 2.
I have used this software on multiple computers and it works great. On a regular basis I will download 20-30 video’s, place them on a USB drive – and watch them when time permits. Obviously if there are some you wish to save – you could do that. I have a 320 GB external hard drive that I have organized quite a few that I knew I want to keep for the long-term.
Below are the YouTube Channels that I frequent most:

You can also use the “DownloadHelper” an add-on for most web browsers. I use it flawlessly on Firefox on both PCs (XP) and Mac OS. The Add-on appears as an icon at the top of the web browser and lets you download (and convert if you wish) any video you are watching. You don’t have to finish watching the video in order to download it, just start watching, then download, and move on to the next video.

There are many video “downloaders” and I have tried several. This one is just TOO EASY! I’m using it right now. It’s a bit of a processor hog, but I’m using it on an atom net book and downloading four vids at the same time!
Thanks for the link Rouke.
