The regular “From the Desk of” posts will be sporadic this week due to the number of posts scheduled.

Today at 10:00am I will be having my appointment for trigger point injections in Charlotte, NC. I pray that they work as they did a couple years ago. Last several days have been extremely painful. Feeling pain constantly really zaps your strength and I have not felt like doing nothing.

DonQt Mess With The USA

So – the Liberal’s in Congress lead by the Wicked Witch of the West Diane Feinstein have gone on record that it is un-American to torture. I guess we are expected to understand terrorist, have empathy, and treat them fairly. Really? Consider a man that has kidnapped your daughter, your wife, your son, or your husband. Would you sit down and ask them politely where they might be and feed them coffee and crumpets? No

What is Instagram?

Instagram is a fun and quirky way to share your life with friends through a series of pictures. Snap a photo with your mobile phone, then choose a filter to transform the image into a memory to keep around forever.

I have been enjoying Instagram connecting with like-minded people and sharing thoughts and ideas. Check it out if you are interested however be aware that if you are easily offended – you

Craziest thing – bending over to pick something up and I pulled a muscle in my back. I have a history of back problems going back close to a decade. Muscle spasms are the problem. It has been a couple years since my last flare up and this one is pretty bad. I have an appointment at a pain specialist in Charlotte, NC for a Trigger Point Injection Monday.

Life without cable or satellite is coming up on 1 year. I have no regrets whatsoever. I am going to write up a post soon on how I did it and what I have done since to provide entertainment & news – and how the rest of the family have dealt. I will say that getting local channels was made easy by my purchase of an HD antenna. This model bought on Amazon for less

Voters sent another message that they are tired of the Liberal Agenda and the Obama Administration by ousting Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisiana. Now – what will the newly elected Republican-controlled Congress do with this new majority power? I wish I could be more hopeful. It would be great to see ObamaCare get overhauled, immigration taken care of by getting a wall built to secure the border – and government made smaller. Yup –

I am looking forward to watching Atlas Shrugged: Who is John Galt when it comes out on DVD. I have seen Part I and Part II numerous times and really enjoyed them. Interesting is when Atlas Shrugged Part I first came out in 2011 I thought it was an accurate representation of what it could be like in 15 years or so. When Part II came out in early 2013 I watch Part I and

The Walking Dead’s last episode this past Sunday until February was pretty good. I am really impressed with how the writers of the show keep it fresh – and the viewers wondering what is going to happen next. I can’t believe they haven’t come out with a spin-off yet. Fan’s can’t get enough.

Oklahoma experienced an earthquake the other day. Earthquakes in this part of the country is not often heard about. Another reason in a list of many why prepping is prudent and not crazy.

From what I saw in my area shoppers were few in numbers. I went out Friday morning with my wife and there were very few shoppers out compared to previous Black Friday’s. Even Thursday night when many of the bigger sales occurred numbers were lower. We’ll see what the retailers report. I took advantage of some good pricing on Amazon to be honest. No sales tax, no shipping fees.

Hello folks – hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We ate around 1:30pm and it was fantastic. I am writing this at 9:00pm Thursday night and getting ready to go cook an apple pie. – Mrs. Smith.

I guess my hopes for peaceful protests in Ferguson was a dream. Pretty pathetic the violence, property destruction, and flag burning. Those US flags the “protesters” are burning – – hundreds of thousands of people died for that flag. Show some respect. Pathetic. Half the protesters are there just to cause trouble and the other half are taking selfies on their Obama phones so they can post on Facebook that they are there. Going

As I type this I am watching the announcement of the Grand Jury verdict finding that there was not sufficient evidence to charge Officer Wilson with a crime in shooting Michael Brown.

Police in riot gear pouring out of the building in preparation of rioting/violence/whatever. I suspect it will be a long night in Ferguson and I hope peaceful. The Grand Jury heard the facts and next to Officer Wilson are the best positioned to

Charlotte, NC ex-Mayor Patrick Cannon just went to prison after admitting to taking bribes. Pathetic excuse for a man in my opinion. Everyone makes mistakes but that doesn’t mean I have to like it nor have any use for them. What makes matters worse I heard a reporter interviewing one of his supporters and she said he never took bribes and if he did – it was to help the City of Charlotte. Folks –

I went to a meeting at Christopher’s Middle School. The Assistant Principle was talking about a trip to Sea World that was being offered and a parent asked about fund raisers to help pay for the trip. The Principle stated that there usually are fund raisers such as selling Krispy Kreme donuts but with the Federal Government now keeping unhealthy foods out of the school the successful program was off the table. The government can’t

I have mixed feelings with the Seal coming forward and talking about the killing of Bin Laden. I was not able to watch the Fox News special – but will likely catch it on Youtube or download a bootleg copy off the Internet. Just got finished watching the movie “Dragon’s Day”. Low budget and so-so acting but pretty interesting. The premise is the United States is attacked by China as most all electronics stop working due to an internal “virus” that is included as part of the manufacturing process. China is able to activate the virus through the use of a top-secret radio frequency. The story covers a family who had gone to a mountain cabin and finds
