Making a few improvements(I hope) to the site. Don’t be shocked if you see some changes. I have installed the Membership software I had been talking about but it is not totally set u yet. It’s going to be cool once complete. Give it a few weeks.

The latest episodes of The Walking Dead have me a bit…..bored. Don’t get me wrong the show is still great there is just something different about it. I continue to wonder where they get all their ammunition and batteries. Scavenging? Maybe for the batteries not so sure on the ammo.

My son told me that his Science teacher runs a club at school called “PRIDE”. The club is only for black kids. Why does that bother me? Is it because I could care less what color someone is? Is it because I believe that we are beyond segregation activities such as this? We are all Americans. Let’s take some PRIDE in that for a change!

Some of you may have notice that several of the ads have disappeared. Over the next few months several more will disappear as well. I make a little spare change from MSO and not ashamed at that at all. A lot of time and money is put into keeping it going. I have decided to only keep a core group of advertisers and then maintain a few affiliate ads going.

In case you are unaware

I have been deep sea fishing before and loved it – years and years ago. I was catching small blue fish that fought aggressively and had a ball reeling them in. Just read that a 16 year old kid just fought and pulled in a 1,058 pound

Been a rough week. Entire family is sick…..except me. Frigid cold hasn’t helped. Work is pretty much normal which isn’t all that fantastic. Flat tire, broken windshield, dead battery, and rear brakes being replaced. Yeah – could have gone better but you know what? I’m above ground and I have today off. Heading to the range in the freezing cold once the place opens. Pulling the trigger a few times will feel good.

California basically is looking to ban pistols. They want to pass a law requiring that when a pistol fires it places a traceable mark on the case. Each pistol different mark? Do you realize how expensive this would be?

I may write a separate post about this but figured I would throw out this quick blurb. I am looking at starting a small “membership” program for all of you who wish to support ModernSurvivalOnline. Pretty simple in that those interested would sign up to donate a small amount – like $3 per month – and they would gain access to some “member-only” information, discounts, etc.

Here is my question – What do I call

Tomorrow I will publish a reprinted article that I believe is important to read. It is related to Russia, Syria, and the United States fight against ISIS. I agree with much of what the writer states. I do not like the positioning that is occurring between Russia and the United States. Between the supportive actions of Ukraine and potentially entering Syria against the wishes of Russia things are getting more dangerous. How far will it

I am not superstitious so the fact it is the 13th and a Friday means nothing. I think I will go out and walk under a ladder, break a mirror, and have a few black cats cross in front of me. If I feel really wild I will try to walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. Am I the man or what?

Reader “CH” recently suggested a good hiding place for money and ammunition is the inside of a vacuum cleaner. Good idea especially if it is a model with a bag. Would hate to forget about the funds and throw away a few hundred dollars by mistake changing a bag. Possibly a vacuum cleaner stuck in a closet that doesn’t even work but is meant just as a cache or hiding place? Maybe even out back
