BREAKING NEWS: Confirmed Ebola infection in New York City.

The 33 year old man is a doctor who treated Ebola patients in West Africa. He reportedly began to experience a fever and gastrointestinal problems and sought medical attention. The doctor placed himself in quarantine once he started feeling poorly however just prior to that he had ridden the subway and gone bowling.

Concerning is that once again people are allowed in this country after possible

Last year I went to the Uwharrie National Park on an off-road trip with some friends. I drive a stock Jeep Wrangler 2-door and was told we were going to stick to the easy trails. Well – once we started out it wasn’t bad but soon the one-way trail turned a lot rougher than I wanted to take my daily driver. You know what? NO PROBLEM! Took it slow and was just amazed at what

I appreciate you stopping by and visiting here on ModernSurvivalOnline.com.

Took the family to my brothers place in Georgia for the weekend. If you are not a long time reader you may not be aware that my brothers place is my bug out location. My overall plan is to stay at home – in place. If for some reason I need to move the family I have two options – one approx 30 miles away

Saw several types of .22LR at Wal-Mart on Saturday – CCI Mini-Mag 40-grain Standard Velocity boxes of 100 for $7.97 which is a good price but I didn’t want standard velocity. They also had 50 round boxes of Remington Yellow Jackets for $4.99 – too rich for my blood and I have not had a lot of luck in semi-auto’s with Yellow Jackets.

My desire to have a place out in the country – a weekend getaway – is pretty much driving me crazy. I have been planning on sitting down with my wife to discuss finances and goals – but so far this week it hasn’t happened. I want to have some time with just the two of us without the kids fighting and causing distractions.

I have owned two Harbor Freight small 63cc generators – they both were terrible. The first one lasted approx 2.5 hours and then locked up. Harbor Freight sent me a second one for review and I was never able to even get it started. I know – Chinese made and you should expect much for $90 but I was hoping it would at least run. Guess you get what you pay for.

Every so often a publishing company will send me a book to review. One example is Scott Hunt’s Practical Prepper’s Complete Guide to Disaster Preparedness. If unfamiliar – author Scott Hunt is Engineer775 on YouTube. I have been reading through it – impressive. Water, food, shelter, power, medical, security, community – it’s all covered with down to earth information and suggestions. I have visited Scott’s property – this guy knows his stuff.

Just started reading one of my favorite books – Day After Day Armageddon by J.L. Bourne – for the 2nd time. This is a zombie apocalypse story written in a unique format – a handwritten journal detailing the events as they happen. If your a fan of The Walking Dead – you would like this book.

Negativity runs through our society like a fire through a match factory. Listen to conversations all around you – someone is always criticizing something or somebody. They will talk on a subject as if they are an expert and could do better though they likely have no training or expertise. People talk about other people and what they do, how they look, and every aspect of their life.

The reality is this negativity is often

My youngest husky – 5 month old “Jake”, puked round worms the other day. Pretty damn gross if you ask me. He had been acting fine with no issues. This was on a weekend so my only option was to call the local 24/7 animal hospital. I had performed some research prior to calling and of course they said he needed to see a vet. I asked I could use something over the counter meds

I am hearing from friends that they are finding .22LR more and more frequently. Prices pretty much suck though. Even places like Academy Sports have a hefty premium on what I would call plain-jane lead .22LR 40-grain solid points. $4.99 for 50 rounds is cheaper than is was – but no where near “old” prices. Yeah – I know – supply and demand. Well – Wal-Mart sells pretty much at old prices(when you can find

For the past couple months I have been trying to follow a diet that involves Intermittent Fasting. Basically I eat between 1:00pm and 7:00pm daily. I work out at noon time on an empty stomach. The first week I followed it I lost 8 pounds. Since then? Struggling with willpower. I have no problem with the eating schedule but tending not to eat very clean.
