This week has been a roller coaster ride of stock market turmoil and dangerous news from around the world. So, what has been happening?

– The stock market plummeted early this week after a downward end of last week. Volatility has been the word of the week as the market has had down numbers such as – 531(Friday), -588, -205 and then rebounded to +619, and +369. What the future holds no one

The DOW plummets close to 600 points and a barrel of oil is now below $39. Going to be interesting a month from now where everything will be sitting. Hey – no better time to put back some additional beans, bullets, and ban-aides then RIGHT NOW.

Late last week a mistrial occurred in the case of a white Charlotte, NC police officer being charged with the wrongful shooting death of an unarmed black man. There was a video showing the man running towards the officer and then a few seconds later you hear 4 shots – a pause – and then additional shots. The unarmed man was shot a total of 10 times.

I have read about the case and watched

The stock market really took a tumble yesterday. Over 300 points. It has been predicted for some tie that the market is too high and a correction is due. I suspect that more is in the works although the market will likely bounce back today with investors taking advantage of lower prices.

If you are not familiar with Prepper Press you should be. They are a book publisher putting out some fantastic offerings. One of my favorites is 299 Days. This series was the most realistic depiction of a possible collapse I have ever read.

Prepper Press also publishes numerous non-fiction books including Holding Your Ground, The Homeschooled Shootist, and Without Rule of Law.

Prepper Press is a sponsor of ModernSurvivalOnline and helps keep this place operational.

A buddy of mine was talking about current events and how it seems like the “zombie apocalypse” is coming. He was not aware of my interest in preparedness. I mentioned to him about the Meet Up group I attend every month and he was interested. He asked a lot of questions and we had a good conversation. He may attend my next Meet Up event.

The questions asked were the typical ones……

What

Seems like daily there are more reports of existing threats that reinforce the need to prepare. Don’t let those naysayers who live in an oblivion of ignorance plant seeds of doubt that preparations for “whatever” is anything but common sense. It is necessary.

There continues to be a lot of chatter of a pending financial crisis coming – soon. Talking with a lot of “non-preppers” it seems like this feeling of an impending crisis is spreading.

A friend of mine just found out his father-in-law recently got his CWP. Why? Worried about the times that lay ahead. His brother-in-law just acknowledged that he started storing away extra food. I recently started a preparedness “Meet Up” group via MeetUp.com

I had announced several times that I would be AFK (away from keyboard) all last week but I never mentioned what I was going to be doing. I went on a cruise to the Bahamas for the week. It was a blast.

I sailed out of Port Canaveral, Florida. First stop was the island of Coco Cay. Next was Nassau for the entire day. The following day was spent on the ocean and the last

Political correctness has taken a another step towards total oblivion of common sense as the department store chain Target is removing labels which designate “girls” or “boys” in the toy, bedding, and other areas. The demise of America is well underway and the Liberal, Progressive, anti-Christian left is gaining foothold.

Ridiculous.

Folks – political correctness and the Progressive movement has reached an all time ridiculous high.

The New York Post is reporting that the Commission for Human Rights has fined an Indian restaurant for trying to hire a…..wait for it……Indian server. The amount of the fine? $5,000.

How dare they!! How dare an Indian restaurant attempt to do what makes incredible common sense and be allowed to make decisions that is in the best interest of

Years ago my brother and I were introduced to paintball. My brother had a Brass Eagle Stingray and I had a Tippmann Carbine. Paintball was new and back then masks were actually optional. We wore goggles. I think back and it was pretty dumb to only have that limited protection.

We played in the property behind his house. A couple acres with two abandoned homes and wooded areas provided ample areas to track, hunt, and

It is pretty rare that I do something like this. In fact – I don’t think I ever have. There is a women who I am friends with on Facebook who is going through a pretty horrible set of circumstances. Her name is Erika. Her desperation has piled up to the point that she is asking for help. She has just started a GoFundMe page.

Here is the deal:

Awhile back I published a couple video’s from SouthernPrepper1 related to his being fed up with the government and stating that we need to publicly make our grievances known.

I agree with David that we need to publicly make it known what our grievances are. I think think needs to be done for a few reasons:

1. We need to be able to identify like-minded people who are on our side.

Health & Fitness Update: A few weeks ago my back developed a muscle spasm that was very painful. I am at about 95% right now and doing sooooo much better. A few days of trigger point massage – which is painful in itself – has taken care of it.

I continue to stray from Crossfit. The reason is primarily a few injuries and a lack of motivation to kill myself the way that Crossfit is.

Options are always good. I know a few people who have bought inserts for their shotguns to shoot a variety of calibers in their shotguns beyond just the normal 12 gauge. Not sure how accurate these things can be but being able to utilize an assortment of ammunition is certainly beneficial.

I have a group member that has done something similiar with his Glock. Having extra barrels and magazines allows for interchangeability between 40S&W and

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine went well. Organized my garage some, test fired an AR pistol I recently built, and did some good food prep for the rest of this week.

“Food prep” in case you are unfamiliar is preparing food for the entire week and freezing it until needed. Helps efforts in eating healthy and staying on course. My diet has sucked recently and need to get back on course.

So the deal has been made with Iran and Iranians are dancing in the streets. The deal has to survive Congressional scrutiny which is not very comforting. As usual biased news agencies on both sides are just that – biased and not reporting the deal fair and balanced. With that I do not know if it is a good deal with what is in the best interest of the world or not. What I do
