A few random thoughts………
Things have been going pretty well lately – this blog is doing better than I expected after only being around for about 6 weeks. I have some good quality advertisers. I have started my YouTube Channel and I am excited about that. I have been getting some good comments from you guys – my readers – which I fully enjoy.
Survival and preparedness has been a big part of my life since I was a teenager. I was a teenager in the early 80′s and the ever constant tension between the United States and the Soviet Union kept me thinking about nuclear war – - World War 3. Although it never happened and the Cold War went by - that need to prepare stayed with me.
After 9-11 I became re-energized to get back into survivalism. I do not consider myself an expert in anything – I know a decent amount about a lot – and strive to learn more. I have gained a lot of experience in gardening over the last 7 years – now I need to learn more about preserving what I grow. I have a very nice Stag Arms M4 carbine – and need to take a tactical carbine class to learn to shoot it better. There is a lot to do before I feel remotely close to reaching my goals. As I journey down this path – I hope to share some of my experiences with you. Maybe you can learn a few things from me – and I from you.
So much to do……….

Hey Rourke:
I haven’t checked out the YouTube thing yet but I have been telling everyone that is into “prepping” about your blog. More than a dozen had not heard of it so maybe that will translate into more readers for you. Keep up the good work.

You might also get some decent ‘low cost’ training from IDPA and 3 gun matches in your area. I’ve learned a LOT from the tactics and my own EDC gear. I don’t consider IPSC as anything but “gaming”.
